Merger of Croon and Wolter & Dros

So as to respond better to the developments in the market and in technology, Croon and Wolter & Dros are going to merge. Both companies are part of TBI. Croon and Wolter & Dros have recently been busy making appropriate preparations for the merger. As from 19 April the companies will operate under the new brand name Croonwolter&dros. The legal entities will merge on 1 January 2017.

With a rich history of 140 and 141 years respectively, Croon and Wolter & Dros can muster 280 years of technological experience. Both operate nationwide. Croon specialises in electro-technology and automation. The specialisms of Wolter & Dros are mechanical engineering and measurement and control technology. The companies have developed continually within their fields and have become sector leaders.

The merger of Croon and Wolter & Dros represents a logical step in the development of the two companies. Bringing together expertise fulfils the increasing demand for integrated technical systems. This will be launched on the market by an effective and efficient engineering and executive organisation. With its motto ‘Intelligence through Technology’ Croonwolter&dros will contribute to its customers’ sustainable operations via intelligent solutions in the domain of electro-technology, mechanical engineering, automation and information technology. Thanks to intelligent systems that can ‘think and learn’, processes in or of objects such as ships, tunnels, buildings and factories will become more efficient and effective.

The launch of the new brand name Croonwolter&dros on 19 April is a significant step in the merger process. The internal processes, systems and management will be optimised In the months ahead. This will be completed and implemented on 1 January 2017 in the form of a single integrated organisation.

With 3,000 employees and a turnover in excess of 500 million Croonwolter&dros is one the biggest companies in the Netherlands specialising in electro-technology, mechanical engineering, automation and information technology. Croonwolter&dros is active in markets such as non-residential buildings, industry, infrastructure and marine & offshore, and has branches throughout the Netherlands.
