Dutch luxury yacht builder AMELS is hosting the 83-metre luxury yacht HERE COMES THE SUN (272 ft) for her worldwide show debut at the Miami Yacht Show from 15 to 19 February. HERE COMES THE SUN is the largest AMELS yacht delivered to date with a Gross Tonnage of 2,827.
HERE COMES THE SUN will be the star of the show, occupying the show’s prime Island Gardens location Berth A1 reserved for the largest yacht.
Rose Damen, AMELS Commercial Director: “We’re very excited to introduce the flagship of our 55 to 83-metre AMELS Limited Editions range in Florida. HERE COMES THE SUN is a wonderful showcase of the absolute highest AMELS quality and finish. We have several yachts from our AMELS Limited Editions range now under construction.”
The Owners of HERE COMES THE SUN also built their previous yacht at AMELS, the 65-metre IMAGINE, in 2011, and returned to the yard for this very special and prestigious project. The exterior design is by Tim Heywood and interior design by Winch Design. Since her on-time and on-budget delivery in January 2017, HERE COMES THE SUN has cruised the Mediterranean and Caribbean with her Owners and is also available for charter.
HERE COMES THE SUN demonstrates AMELS’ experience building very high quality large yacht projects, witnessed by the recent new order for a 78-metre AMELS Full Custom yacht (256 ft) by Espen Øino. When this new yacht is delivered in 2021, it will be the largest AMELS by Gross Tonnage built to date.
AMELS has delivered 60 large superyachts – both AMELS Limited Editions and AMELS Full Custom – and is part of the family-owned Damen Shipyards Group, one of the world’s largest specialist shipbuilders.
