On 12 March Dutch luxury yacht builder AMELS launched its latest 55-metre superyacht on schedule, thanks to a high degree of planning and cooperation with the owner’s team, captain and crew.
As outfitting continues, the yacht’s gleaming stainless steel highlights and stylish black accents provide a glimpse into the owner’s unique vision developed together with designer Tim Heywood. AMELS is working hard to deliver this beautiful new AMELS Limited Editions yacht on budget and on schedule as promised.
Over the last decade AMELS has perfected the Roll-on / Float-off or ‘RoFlo’ launching method. The yacht is transported from one of the fully climate-controlled covered building bays onto a floating pontoon, then to a floating drydock, which submerges and the yacht floats. The RoFlo method is fast, efficient and low-risk for the yacht, but requires a high degree of planning and teamwork.
