Quality is not to be taken lightly

A family business with a history spanning over six decades, Kuiper Holland is a leading manufacturer of panels for the international yacht building industry. Kuiper Dutch Marine Panels are especially associated with superb craftsmanship in veneer application. That being said, there’s more to these panels than meets the eye...

Hans Golbach, director at Kuiper Holland, explains why his products are an essential part of any yacht:  “While panels may not always be visible, their quality codetermines the overall quality of the yacht being built. Besides looking good panels should offer benefits in other vital areas, such as weight and noise reduction, and fire safety. We ensure our products meet the highest standards by choosing top grade materials and processing them with the utmost care. If we can’t find a material that measures up to our requirements, we’ll go to any length to have it purpose-made. We don’t take quality lightly.”

Kuiper Holland offers panels in several specific categories:

• Kuiper Art − panels finished with veneer or HPL

• Kuiper Air − lightweight panels that reduce overall mass and, hence, increase fuel economy

• Kuiper Serene − soundproofing panels

• Kuiper Protect − fire resistant panels

• Kuiper Basic − untreated panels

With a wide and varied product range Kuiper Holland aims to be a one stop shop for yacht builders. “Yachts are complicated constructions, so people building yachts need lots of different suppliers. When it comes to panels, we make it easy for them by offering the whole package, including extensive expertise. Our ultimate goal is for Kuiper Holland to be the first name people think of when it comes to high quality yacht panels. We don’t want to be chosen because we’re nice or Dutch, but because we’re the best.”

As the HISWA Holland Yachting Group gears up to celebrate its Golden Jubilee, the association and ten of its leading members will be taking part in the METSTRADE Show from 13 to 15 November. The largest B2B event on the leisure marine calendar is held in the RAI Amsterdam convention centre and includes a dedicated SuperYacht Pavilion spanning three halls.

Members of the HISWA Holland Yachting Group have played their part in all 30 editions to date of the METSTRADE Show, with the role of the large yacht sector at the event becoming increasingly prominent over the decades. This year’s exhibition sees the SuperYacht Pavilion expanded with an extra hall and a dedicated networking hub called the Shipyard. A record number of 313 exhibitors have booked stands, part of the overall METSTRADE Show which is expected to see some 1500 participants welcome around 25,000 visits.

The HISWA Holland Yachting Group bar at stand number 11.509A will be another key meeting place for professionals as it forms the centre of the Holland Pavilion area. It will also provide information on how the association will be marking 50 years of Export Excellence in 2019 as well its ambitious plans to increase the profile of Amsterdam as a superyacht hub.

Six leading companies in their field will have stands in this special HISWA Holland Yachting Group zone, showcasing the latest innovations in their respective fields: Hydromar (hydraulic equipment), Kuiper Marine Panels, Maxwell Marine (anchor winches, capstans and windlasses), Pon Power (official Caterpillar dealer), RH Marine (system integration) and Rondal (spars & rigging, doors and composite products).

Four other specialists will be exhibiting in other locations around the METSTRADE Show, namely Cramm (gangways, cranes, passerelles, doors, hatches, platforms, balconies and boarding ladders), Esthec (decking), Huisfit (refit division of Royal Huisman) and Naiad Dynamics (stabilisers).
